TCL presents their TV and soundbar lineup for 2023

TCL is approaching things a little differently this year. TCL used to have three different lineups for its Roku and Android TV models: the 6, 5, 4, and 3-Series. However, TCL is dividing its new TV lineup for 2023 into two families. The S-Series and the brand-new Q-Series. TCL has officially announced that the old 6, 5, 4, and 3-Series TV naming convention will be replaced with the Q and S-Series.

TCL Q-Series

Larger screen sizes and a greater emphasis on QLED models are features of the all-new Q-Series. The Q6 in the Q-Series is equipped with Quantum Dot technology, a new feature called Game Accelerator 120 that enables gaming at 120Hz with VRR. Screen sizes for the Q6 range from 50 to 75 inches.

The Q7 follows, with features akin to those of the Q6, but with the addition of a High Bright Pro display that doubles peak brightness. Additionally, there is Full Array Pro local dimming, which has five times as many dimming zones. The Q7 has a native 120Hz panel and offers the Accelerator 240 feature, which enables 240Hz VRR gaming. Screen sizes for the Q7 range from 55 to 85 inches. The QM8, the top model in the Q-Series, features a built-in subwoofer, 5X more dimming zones, a High Bright Ultra display, and Wi-Fi 6. Screen sizes for the QM8 range from 65 to 98 inches. Later this year, the TCL Q-Series TVs will be accessible.

S-Series TCL

There are a few models in the S-Series that are more reasonably priced. With support for HDR, the S3 provides 1080p HD resolution. Screen sizes for the S3 range from 32 to 43 inches. The S4 offers Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and 4K resolution. Screen sizes for the S4 range from 43 to 85 inches. This year will see the release of the TCL S-Series TVs.

TCL Speakers

TCL has also announced soundbars that match their new TVs. The new Q6 soundbar has a sophisticated aesthetic design and an “enhanced audio feature suite” that includes an automatic room calibration feature, a larger subwoofer, and separate tweeters. Dolby Audio, Bluetooth, and DTS Virtual surround sound are all available with the S4 soundbar. Later this year, the TCL Q and S series soundbars will go on sale.
